Sialkot Stallions Squad announced for Champions League T20 2012

All-rounder Kieron Pollard, batsman Michael Hussey and seamer Morne Morkel are among the nine players who have chosen to play for their 'away' team in the 2012 Champions League Twenty20.

Pollard has opted for Mumbai ahead of Trinidad & Tobago, Hussey Chennai instead of Perth and Morkel Delhi rather than the Titans, who have also lost the services of Faf du Plessis and Albie Morkel to the Super Kings.

West Indian vice-captain Dwayne Bravo and spinner Sunil Narine, meanwhile, have opted for Chennai and Kolkata respectively ahead of Trinidad & Tobago. Fast bowlers Mitchell Johnson and Brett Lee will represent Mumbai and Kolkata respectively, not their Australian franchises.

"According to CLT20 rules, if a player qualifies for more than one team, all those qualifying teams can nominate that player. When a player decides to play for an 'away' team rather than his 'home' team, the team from the country he is eligible to represent in international cricket, the 'away' team must pay US$150,000 compensation to the 'home' team," said the tournament's director of legal and business affairs, Dean Kino.

Six teams will be making their first appearance in the tournament - England's Hampshire and Yorkshire, South Africa's Titans, Pakistan's Sialkot Stallions and Australia's Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers. The group stages start on 13 October, with the tuornament final scheduled for 10 days later.
