Pakistan qualify for quarter final







Pakistan beat Scotland by nine wickets in their Group B match on Monday to qualify for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup quarter-final.

Scotland opted to bat after winning the toss and made 200 runs in 49.5 overs. Ross Mclean (59), Freddie Coleman (39) and Kyle Smith (34) were the top scorers while Mohammad Nawaz took four wickets and Adil took two for Pakistan.

Pakistan met the target set easily as Sami Aslam scored 78 while captain Babar Azam bated beautifully and scored 106 not out to be named man of the match in second consecutive game.

Aslam and Azam had an opening partnership of 163 runs.

In other matches, West Indies beat Papua New Guinea by nine wickets while Australia defeated Nepal by 212 runs.
