World Eleven Visits Pakistan

The World Eleven Cricket team led by former Sri
Lankan Captain Sanath Jayasuria will be visiting
the city next month, Chairman Pakistan Cricket
Board Zaka Ashraf announced this while having a
meeting with Minister of Sports Sindh
Dr. Mohammad Ali Shah in Lahore.

Chairman PCB informed Thursday that the World
Eleven includes six players from South Africa
four from West Indies while two players will be
from Sri Lanka including Captain Sanath Jayasuria.

Former West Indian player Kalicharan will be the manager and coach of the visiting World Eleven Cricket team, scheduled to play T20 contests here in Pakistan.

The organisers have roped in players including former Sri Lanka captain Sanath Jayasuriya, Justin Kemp, Charl Langeveldt, Paul Adams, Andre Nel, Richard Levi and Jerome Taylor for the World XI team.

Nearly all the players are still on board. Sri Lanka and South Africa domestic events will start in August while the West Indies players are also available. There may be a few additions as Jayasuriya told us that he will also bring a current team member. For the Pakistan side, we’re hoping Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik and Saeed Ajmal get a green signal from the PCB.
