No plans to return to international arena in future - Shoaib Akthar

Pakistan's former bowler Shoaib Akthar on Thursday said he has no plans to return to international arena in future.

Talking to newsmen here at Marghzar cricket ground at the Mobilink Jazz Summer Cricket Camp for children organized by National Press Club, Shoaib said he has enjoyed his life while playing cricket.

"I have enjoyed my life playing cricket but now I don't think for a return to international arena," he said adding that when I announced my retirement I was sure of not returning to cricket again.

Responding to a question, Shoaib said it was up to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to host a farwell in honour for me like they did for other players.

Shoaib was selected in Pakistan's 15-man squad to play in the 2011 World Cup hosted by Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka in February to March. During the tournament, he announced his retirement from international cricket at the end of the World Cup.
